On-Device + Cloud Intelligence
Websites you visit on Safari is analysed locally via On-Device Intelligence. If ScamNet deems that further complex analysis is required, only the domain of the website is used to check with Cloud Intelligence at runtime.
Cloud Intelligence
Your device periodically checks against online data breaches for your email addresses. Your email addresses and results are stored locally and synced across your devices using iCloud.
On-Device Intelligence
SMSes you receive are filtered locally on-device intelligence based on the Sender ID and the content of the messages.
On-Device Intelligence
A database containing the latest scam phone numbers is periodically downloaded to your device. When you receive an incoming call, iOS checks against this database locally.

As a component of Cloud Intelligence, data is only stored remotely with your explicit consent, such as when you are reporting scam content and these are never linked to you.
